The Pantheon

The ancient Pantheon is a temple dedicated to honoring all the gods. The Greek word combines pan- ("all") and theos- ("god").

Discussing the greatest of all-time greats has inspired us to build our own Pantheon. The A.V. Pantheon is a page for honoring 5-star films and/or unique films that we think need to be celebrated.

The idea of Pantheon is not a unique idea to Videoland, and in fact many well-known critics and sports enthusiasts have come up with their own Pantheons. However, we believe that our unique council members and our rules will help define our Pantheon for future Videolanders worldwide.

I hope the future of this Pantheon will point toward the heart of Videoland. The goal of A.V. has always been to find ourselves as viewers and to continue the discussion that was started long ago.
