What If Disney Hadn’t Screwed Over Scarlett Johansson?
If one thing changes, what kinds of ripple effects does that cause? One singular moment leads to a multiverse of infinite possibilities. The latest Marvel series will flip the script on the MCU, reimagining real-life events in unexpected ways.
What if Disney hadn’t screwed over Scarlett Johansson? What if Scarlett Johansson didn’t sue Disney? What If studios and talent acknowledged that Covid sucks and contracts have to be renegotiated? What if Covid wasn’t real? What if Black Widow was never hypersexualized in Iron Man 2? What if Bob Chapek got fired and Scarlett Johansson took over as CEO of Disney? What if Kevin Feige was a sexual predator like Harvey Weinstein? What if Kevin Feige left Marvel over the Disney drama? What if Twitter didn’t exist? What if Disney+ got erased from the timeline? What if Marvel was owned by Warner Bros.? What if Sony never turned down the opportunity to buy Marvel’s movie rights back in 1998? What if Zoe Saldana’s Gamora laid the smack down on Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord because of his religious beliefs (and not just because he’s a lecherous hothead)? What If we finally got a Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer? What if Edgar Wright directed Ant-Man? What if Tom Cruise was cast as Iron Man? These are the questions hoping to be answered by Marvel’s first animated Disney+ TV series, ‘What If…?’.
How will Marvel Studios' first animated series be received by Disney+ subscribers? With the MCU diving headfirst into the multiverse with these woke-inspired episodes, the Gender Equality Advocates are already planning on giving the series fresh Rotten Tomatoes reviews, an A+, and four thumbs up.
“I’m very happy with what they’re doing with the new ‘What If…?’ series for Disney+,” said someone from the Gender Equality Advocates Humane Society. “All the filler episodes sound fun. But we’re mainly watching to support Scarjo. We can’t wait to see how she gets her money in all these different scenarios. We hope there’s an episode where Black Widow uses lethal force on the powerful men over at Disney. Can you imagine an episode where Black Widow goes all female Punisher on the male-dominated industry? They’ve had it coming for a long time! Right? Scarlett Johansson is undermined, underserved, under-appreciated, and underpaid. She’s had to deal with a decade of gender politics. When we first saw her in Iron Man 2, she was basically a whore. Now with all these Multiverse scenarios, she can be a fully formed person with ideas! Hopefully, these ‘What If…?’ episodes will end the ‘revolving door’ of sexism. Hopefully, these animated episodes will encourage other actresses to speak out. Hopefully, these animated episodes will give the characters a voice to stand on.”
What do our readers think? Do you want to see Black Widow turn The Punisher's iconic skull into a symbol for equality? Would you like to see Scarlett Johansson move the fight from the courts to outer space? Would you like for Black Widow to be as smart as Bruce Banner? Do you want to see Black Widow defeat Thanos with one arm tied behind her back? Do you want to see Scarlett Johansson defeat toxic masculinity all by herself? And the big question, are you ready to face the unknown and ponder the question ‘What If…?’ on August 11, exclusively on Disney+? We will keep you updated on this breaking story as events unfold. Stay Woke, Videoland!
