“Married …with Younglings” spinoff series in the works about Obi-Wan Kenobi’s long lost brother Bob
Obi-Wan Kenobi has become one of the most successful shows on Disney+. As such, there are already a variety of other Star Wars spin-offs in development. Now it seems that we can add a “Married … with Younglings” spin-off, centered around Ben’s long-lost brother Bob, to that list.
Our sources over at The BloJo Movie Network have told us that a Bob Kenobi spin-off series titled “Married … with Younglings” starring Ewan McGregor is currently in development and will be similar to “Wandavision”. Here’s what we know so far…
Per The BloJo Movie Network:
“WandaVision” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” have been major successes for Marvel Studios and Disney+. “WandaVision” was the perfect mix of MCU action and classic family sitcoms. The plan is to take those classic homages and blend them into the Star Wars aesthetic. Also, Ewan McGregor likes playing the character of Kenobi so much Disney is going to let him play all the characters in the upcoming spinoff. The limited series (unless it’s successful) will follow the lives of Bob Kenobi, a deadbeat speeder salesman, and his lazy force sensitive family. The show will prominently feature their neighbor, landlord, and brother, Obi-Wan Kenobi, with special appearances by the Mandalorian and the adorable baby Grogu. Rumored storylines include his son using a fake ID to get into a Twilek gentleman’s club, his daughter running up the family credit card at the Mos Espa Shopping outlet (perhaps on a Vespa?), and his wife begging Bob to attend Jizzo the Hutt’s Mos Eisley charity ball.
The Mouse House already has a whole crap load of series on their plate, so it’s unlikely we’ll hear anything official on “Married... with Younglings” for a while.
Anyway, tell us, are you excited about a Ben Kenobi show? For lovers of Star Wars and classic sitcoms, “Married…with Younglings” seems to have it all. As always, let us know down below.
In other news, Amber Heard has reportedly landed a $15 million dollar book deal with Simon & Shitster. According to BloJo, the actress is writing a “tell-all memoir” about her career and personal life titled How My Career Shit the Bed.
